Quick Trade (QT) (Back to Index)

The BEST Direct Quick Trade (QT) function was designed for clients who exclusively day trade, and mainly focus on one market. It is also useful for traders who want to view depth of market for GLOBEX, NQLX, or OneChicago contracts.

To Open a Quick Trade Window

On the BEST Direct Trade Ticket window, specify the commodity you want to trade along with the month and year (1). After that information is specified, left click on the Quick Trade selection on the toolbar (2):

When the QT window pops up, below the commodity code you will see the Quantity, Order Type, Price, and the Buy/Sell buttons. These will be populated with elements that you had entered in the main BEST Direct Trade Ticket window.

You’ll notice that even if a limit order is selected in the main order ticket, the Quick Trade window defaults to a market order. You can change your preference to a Stop or Limit order in the order type menu on the right side of the Quick Trade window.
