Cancel Trade
To Cancel
a trade you have entered, first select the order by left clicking on that order
in the Order Status window. Then with the cursor over the Order Status window, right
click and select Cancel Trade. You will then see your green Working order turn
into a red Canceled order in the Order Status window.
When you
select Cancel, a confirmation box will NOT appear asking if you are certain you
want to cancel the trade. It will send the cancel request automatically.
Cancel/Replace Trade Function
Cancel/Replace
trades also can be executed from the Order Status Screen. To execute a
Cancel/Replace order, select the Working order (shown in green) that you wish
to modify by left clicking next to that order in the Order Status Window. Once
the order you want to modify is selected, right click on your mouse and select
Cancel/Replace Trade.
So if you
selected Cancel/Replace Trade for a working order, you would see this screen:

you have the option to change the Price and/or Quantity. Once you are satisfied
with your changes, click the submit button from the Cancel/Replace screen.
After submitting your Cancel/Replace order, go to the main BEST Direct screen.
You will see your previous order drop to the bottom of the screen as a red
Canceled order and your new order as a green Working order:
The
Cancel Trade and Cancel/Replace functions are also available from the Order
Management screen under the View dropdown menu.
NOTE: You cannot Cancel or Cancel/Replace a Market
Order. Also, when you Cancel or Cancel/Replace a working order, there is no
guarantee that you will not be filled on your original order. Even if your
order turns red on your side, indicating a Canceled order, it doesn’t
necessarily mean that your Cancel has been confirmed. If you are too late to
Cancel an order, you will receive a notification on your screen. At this time,
you will also see your red Canceled order turn back into a green Working order,
and will be instructed to await your fill.
